Cat Balou is a 16 metre aluminium catamaran, specifically built for whale watching and sight seeing.

Launched in 2006 the vessel is in Maritime Survey licenced to carry 72 passengers and can travel at a speed of 20 knots.

The inside lower cabin seats 56 passengers with servery/bar area. Front doors lead to the large viewing platform on the bow - great for watching dolphins and whales.

The upper deck is semi enclosed with under cover seating for 16 passengers. It also incorporates a large walk around sundeck with unobstructed viewing.

There is limited wheelchair access.
Two toilets are on board the vessel.
Powered by 2 x 300hp Cummins diesel motors & carries 2000 lts of fuel.
Life jackets and inflatable life rafts for all passengers are onboard.
As Cat Balou does not cross any sand bars, life jackets are not required to be worn during cruises.
