Cat Balou had a fantastic morning with the whales despite a freshening NE wind picking up. Common Dolphins were found as we headed out of Twofold Bay and it wasn’t long before we spotted whales – 4 pods about 3 miles east of South Head. Some were breaching as we approached. The first pod we spent time with mugged us for over 40 minutes. Later we saw more whales breaching, some pec slapping, magnificent tails and finished with another mugging and spy hops.

Unfortunately the weather forecast isn’t looking good for getting out tomorrow.
