Conditions we not the best for whale watching as we departed today with a sloppy SE/E swell.
We headed south not finding any whales but as we headed north we came across two adults with some pec slapping however they had long down times. Dolphins however kept passengers amused.
We opted to head further north finding a mother & calf between North Head & Leonard’s Island. This quiet pair headed south but after 45 minutes decided it was time to play and what a great show we got from both animals with numerous tail slaps and peduncle throws.
Bottlenose Dolphins we also seen as we rounded the breakwall.
